I am in the process of wondering what to do with myself since this is the last full weekend I have here in Arizona before I move back to California. Everything hasn't hit me yet, and I am also SO nervous about my new job. I hope I do great. For a little distraction, we ended up going to the mall for a while, but before that, this happened. The most perfect dress in the entire world needed a proper introduction, so here it is, in all of it's glory. Surprisingly, I found it at Aeropostale, and it almost defined me completely, so it had to be mine. And this baby's breath wreath? It was actually meant to be used for my wedding at my reception, but it never happened because I was too in love with how my ceremony crown looked (and I was wayyy too busy having fun!) to change it. Then, at our one year anniversary trip to San Francisco in November, I took it to have a couple's picture taken, but we also never got around to take it. It finally happened today. Smells and still looks at gorgeous as ever.

Estoy en el proceso de tratar de pensar que hacer conmigo misma en esta ultima semana en Arizona. Todavia no me entra por la mente que ya todo cambiara, y también estoy súper nerviosa sobre empezar mi nuevo trabajo. Espero que me vaya bien. Ahora fuimos a las tiendas para un tiempo de distracción, pero antes de eso, esto paso. El vestido mas perfecto del mundo necesita una introducción adecuada. Lo encontré en Aeropostale, que fue algo de sorpresa porque nunca compro nada de allí. Y la corona de flores? De hecho, era para mi boda. Me iba a cambiar la corona que traia en la ceremonia por esta en la recepcion, pero estaba muy ocupada pasando el tiempo bailando que se me olvido. Y ademas, no me la queria quitar. Un año despues, me la lleve a nuestro viaje de aniversario a San Francisco, en donde de nuevo, no la use, hasta ahora. Finalmente! Se mira y huela igual- hermoso.

Whenever you're in a situation where you think you don't have very many options, you may want to think again. In this case, I am talking about finding this gem of a place for a quick photo session almost in the middle of nowhere. Though I am no stranger to doing things out of the ordinary, this place is very familiar to most. I am literally standing against the border that divides the small town of Calexico and it's neighboring city, the Mexican border town of Mexicali. Crazy to think how one large metal fence is what separates us from such a different culture, and a shock that it doesn't really stop anyone from trying to cross it in order to chase their American dream. What an insane kind of world we live in, right? Regardless, I thought this monument in a sense, was a cool place to accentuate the bubbly outfit I had on, and I am very happy with the results! What do you think?

Cuando estés en una situación en la que pienses que no tienes varias opciones, piensalo de nuevo. En este caso, estoy hablando de haber encontrado este lugarsito inesperado para una sesión de fotos rapida. Aunque no sea extraña a hacer cosas fuera de lo ordinario, este lugar es algo muy familiar para mucha gente. Estoy literalmente parado al lado de la linea frontera que divide Calexico y Mexicali. Es algo loco pensar que algo tan simple como un cerco de metal pueda separar culturas diferentes, y a la misma vez no podernos sorprender el hecho de que eso nunca a parado a la gente cuando se cruzan ilegalmente para poder vivir una vida con mas oportunidades. Que mundo tan loco, no? Aunque sea, este monumento se me hizo un lugar super cool para acentuar el conjunto que traía puesto, y estoy feliz con los resultados! Que piensan ustedes?
