TRANSITION

I WAS WEARING:
CROP TOP  | (Shop it here ► PacSun)
PANTS | (Shop it here► J. Crew)
SHOES | *Courtesy of Missguided
BANDANA | (Shop similar here► Forever 21)
SUNNIES | (Shop it here► Ray-Bans)

I would like to say that this is more of a risqué look (as if you haven't noticed already), but you know me. IDGAF. Sort of. These days you can wear a crop top with anything, but more common with looks involving a beach or some cutoffs. I took a slight twist to what I originally wanted to wear with this PacSun Nollie top and paired it with a more formal, wide-leg pair of pants from J. Crew. Let me also point out that pants from J. Crew are SERIOUSLY some of the most amazing, comfortable pair of pants I have ever owned in my life. And more importantly, I have to let you know that I had ordered what I thought was a small handkerchief on a sale from Forever 21, but I apparently read wrong, and it turned out to be a full-on scarf. And not just any scarf. A large, flowy scarf. So of course, desperate times call for desperate measures, and you all know how much I love my last-minute DIY's, so I cut it up. And surprise. Here's the entire look. Not too bad.

FRINGE FRINGE

I WAS WEARING:
VEST | Forever 21 (similar HERE)
BLOUSE | Asos (all similar HERE)
SHORTS | Hudson Jeans
SHOES | *Courtesy of Missguided

You know me too well. There is something about fringe that just drives me insane. The way it moves with every step you take, or simply the fact that it is very versatile and goes with anything from shorts (evidently), skinnies, or over a flowy slipdress. This combination goes perfect with those long summer days, minus the heels, for those nights that turn into mornings, or vice versa. I have really been insanely busy with work, and getting out an hour later didn't seem like such a big deal until right now. I am falling asleep, still have a million other things to do, and it's already past 9pm. Is it 11:11 yet so I can wish for more hours in the day? That sounded sooo corny. Lol.

FLORAL CULOTTES, PART 2

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Photos by Henry Young

I WAS WEARING:
WHOLE OUTFIT | *Courtesy of Missguided

This is the second time I think I have ever worn culottes on the blog, and this pair from (you guessed it!) Missguided totally blew me away with their gorgeous large floral print and lightweight feel. As much as the trend might be over for industry standards, you all know that I don't ever wear anything that I don't feel like wearing, so this piece for me is truly a chic treasure. Paired with a basic knit crop top and nude sandals, this outfit is one that will surely be repeated over and over again in the future.
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to catch up on everything else that happens in my everyday life on IG & Snapchat!

I WAS WEARING:
JACKET | Vintage
SHORTS & SHOES | *Courtesy of Missguided

I had second thoughts about uploading this outfit post today since I have been on zombie mode since last week's outings and all of this week's work meetings taking me into overtime almost daily. On a good note, it's almost the weekend! I plan to sleep in allllll those free hours.

THAT ONE SKIRT

Monday, August 03, 2015
Photos by Henry Young

I WAS WEARING:
TOP | *Courtesy of Lulu*s
SKIRT | H&M
SHOES | DVF

I am no stranger to off-shoulder tops and this gorgeous H&M skirt, which you've probably seen on a million other bloggers. I have been wearing it NON-STOP. I could have paired it with different accessories and I definitely had other shoes (that I don't own yet!) in mind, but here we are with a top I used a few months ago from Lulu*s and Ray-Bans borrowed from Alex.
This weekend was another one for the books. We went to LA yesterday and met up with the guys at Angel City Brewery in DTLA, where we laughed up a storm, ate "dinner" in a semi-hidden location, then hit up a cool warehouse joint to listen to cool music and wonder how we even ended up there in the first place (if you follow me on Snapchat, you'll understand what I'm talking about). Afterwards, we took off and drove through all of downtown back to our cute little hotel, where we stopped by (naturally) for a large Coke at the nearest McDonald's and fell asleep until almost 2am. The mini adventure continued on today, cruising down Sunset, Rodeo Drive, and all the way to Los Feliz, where we managed to hike up to the Griffith Observatory and take in the Hollywood sign. Can't wait to be back and stay longer.

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @esmirnatapia because there's a Tous giveaway you do NOT want to miss out on!

________________________________________________________________________________

Saludos!
