I have to admit that this outfit was not totally picked out by me. I got home one day from work and Alex had this practically laying out for me and told me he thought the cropped blouse and Topshop romper were the perfect combination (which I agree). It would have never occurred to me to put light blue and burgundy together, but he definitely knew what he was doing, haha. I decided to break into my new Public Desire heeled booties and wild hair because really, is that even something new? Damn this humidity! I'd rather be freezing my ass off shooting at 8am than take a few extra minutes editing my hairs out in Photoshop. And STFU. You know you edit your pictures, too. #LETSBEREAL

Hello babes! Quick post today- I've literally been running around between the office and my house getting prepped for the weekend, but not before I leave you with this cool ensemble courtesy of Banana Republic! I've said it once and I'll say it again- the flared jeans and hippie vibes are finally back, and from the looks of it, definitely here to stay. Unfortunately for me, it is still extremely hot out, so shooting these jeans and pair of booties was quite a task, but nonetheless it had to be done. What do you think of this look?

THE CULOTTE JUMPSUIT

I've been working non-stop, stressing about what seems every little thing. Maybe that's why I probably enjoy my weekends even more now, like this past one. We went off on an hour-and-a-half long road trip to Laguna Beach, which basically is the neighboring town to Newport Beach. It was pretty fun and it was not until yesterday that my legs were feeling the pain of going up those thousand steps from our secret beach location (if you follow me on Snapchat (@esmirna_tapia), you'd know exactly what I was talking about!), but it was a really relaxing day overall. Now on to the outfit. You'd think that I wasn't such a big fan of culottes, much less a culotte jumpsuit being that I am so small, but it fit slightly perfect. Add a pop of contrasting color in heels and there you have it: a look that is chic for a night out with friends.

One would like to think that Mexican Independence Day is May 5th, but I am here to let you know that you're wrong. DEAD wrong. It is formally celebrated (like our 4th of July here in the U.S.) on September 16th, and yes, this is also a date where you can definitely go out and drink if you're A) Mexican and B) not working the next day. Being Hispanic and living my whole life in Southern California, this date is still highly respectable within my own family. And what fitting way to pay a small tribute than with this little number by Topshop? Even the colors are the exact ones on the Mexican flag. Match made in blogger heaven.
