There are plenty of things I want to get done this year: keep growing the blog, learn how to take better photographs, be even more adventurous and go on at least one or two road trips (at the top of my list is Salvation Mountain), get over my fear of getting at least one small tattoo, meet more creative people I can collaborate with, and overall become a better person. With such drastic changes, there has been little time to really sit down and think about what I want to do or keep doing with my life. Now, this isn't some sappy article on how at my twenty-six years of my life I wish I had done more things differently, but more of a little reflection of what's to come. 

What are your resolutions for 2015?

Speaking of new things, I was fortunate enough to work with the Tobi team again to bring you this jeweled lilac top! And look at that back! Such a steal!

It's been a hectic past two weeks, so I am sorry for the long hiatus! This outfit was from last week, and it was actually from a small trip we took to El Centro on a weekend we were here in Calexico. I saw the wall with the red triangles and fell in love. What do you think of my outfit?

This past week has been a personal hell, and much to my demise, it only got worse as the days passed. The only thing keeping me sane were (as crazy as it sounds) my co-workers, Alex, and doing a bit of last minute online shopping for Hawaii next week. I simply can't tell you how thrilled I am to be taking a 10-day vacation from my current life, heck, I might just be living in the ocean for a few days and just leave my phone off. Who am I kidding? I think I am only going to Hawaii JUST for the pictures. Sigh.

MADE FOR ME

I was approached by the wonderful people at eShakti.com to pick a crop top and skirt set of my liking to review, and I was stunned to find out just how different this brand is. You go to their website, choose whatever you'd like to purchase (anywhere from dresses, tops, pants, skirts), and here's the coolest part: they actually TAILOR the clothing you pick to be made to your size! Since they are made to order, I was even more in love! This is perfect for those occasions where you might need something quickly or cannot find in stores- it's literally like having your personal fairy godmother making everything you want, whenever you want it! How cool is that?!

BY THE POOL

 

This past weekend was my type of a great time: cloudy, rainy, and a bit cold. I took it as some sort of piece from back home, since rainy weather is kind of a usual in Southern California. I certainly can't wait to go back next week! Now, can it be this weekend?! I am helping a friend by being her "model" for her art school graduation portfolio photoshoot, and the concept is completely amazing! Cannot WAIT to share it with you all soon!

CHASING THE SUN

Days are shorter, nights get longer. I am in love with the fact that I can get home from work and it is already dark. It sounds weird, since most people would love just the opposite. Choosing outfits has become much easier- quite a fast process. Growing up in a cooler environment made me an expert in layering since I was in elementary school. Wherever you spend your winters, it can never be too cold to put in some stylish effort. I knew I wanted to wear this jacket I received from my then-boyfriend (now husband), but with something different, so I chose a simple, short dress and knee-high socks to balance my body temperature (can you believe Arizona is still in the 80's?!). How do you like this outfit twist? 

DREAMING OF THIS FALL WISH LIST

We are starting to finally feel some fresh air around the west coast, and with a new season comes a new set of things I am dying to see in my wardrobe. No matter what your budget is, there is something for everyone (I just happen to like uber-expensive things sometimes even though I cannot afford them ha!). Take a look at my list and see if you can find something you'd like for yourself!

BLACKOUT

They say that you dress according to how you feel, and you'd expect me to tell you that I've been feeling down or something with this full black on black ensemble, but I believe that you feel your most confident whenever you wear dark colors. Black is slimming, classic, and can make you feel very sexy, and with this look, I really feel that and much more...

BRING ON THE '70s

I've always been known as the little girl who "experiments" endlessly with many trends, but what most don't realize is that clothing to me isn't something I simply "test" as if it were a hobby, it honestly is my way of life. 

AFTERNOON ESCAPE

I have wanted this Nasty Gal dress ever since I first saw it, and when it went on sale, I immediately knew it would be in my possession soon! There is something so girly about it that I obviously cannot ever pass up when it comes to purchasing clothing. The fact that I am also on the shorter side and the dress sits right above my knees completely reassured me that I made the right choice.
